Cysteamine is a skin-lightening agent used in the treatment of hyperpigmentation disorders such as age spots, melasma and postinflammatory hyperpigmentation. As the name implies, the cream contains cysteamine, a metabolite of L-cysteine and a natural cellular component. L-cysteamine inhibits the production of melanin in the skin in several different ways which is why it is so effective.

As the name implies, the cream contains cysteamine, a metabolite of L-cysteine and a natural cellular component. L-cysteamine inhibits the production of melanin in the skin in several different ways which is why it is so effective.
A randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial confirmed the efficacy of cysteamine cream in the treatment of epidermal melasma.
The Cyspera system contains the new intense version of Cystamine cream.
Step 1 INTENSIVE™
Apply one pump as a thin layer on the skin.
Leave on for 15 minutes (a warming sensation or mild tingling may occur and last up to 30 min).
Step 2 NEUTRALIZE™
Apply 2 pumps on unwashed face.
Gently massage in a circular motion.
Rinse thoroughly with water and pat dry.
Step 3 BOOST™
Apply one pump as a thin layer on the skin.
It is important for the skin to acclimate to Cyspera Intensive™ by limiting initial use to 5 minutes once per day. After one week, increase to 15 minutes of exposure (or as advised by your skincare professional).
In case of irritation, discontinue use for a few days until your skin recovers, then restart the application of Cyspera Intensive™ for 5 minutes.
It can be applied in the morning or evening, offering patients true flexibility and personalised choice.
Daily use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher is also very important.

Cyspera
Cyspera works well, but you have to have patience. It does take at least 3 months before you see a noticeable difference to your dark spot/s, or at least it did for me. It does make your face smell a little like cheesy feet (no lie), so make sure you leave the neutraliser on your face for a while longer than you need to, in order to neutralise the smell more. Chesire lasers are great and they called me and went through a thorough Q&A with me before sending me the product and they are highly recommended for their professionalism. Thank you Camilla
